Step 1: cleanse your face with a cleanser.
Step 2: activate your lymph nodes so that the circulation gets going. Use the V-shaped side and move the stone at a 45-degree angle from your collarbone towards your jaw. Repeat this step 10 times.
Step 3: do the same on the neck, but downwards.
Step 4: apply a serum or oil, to guide the stone across your face more easily.
Step 5: use the V-shaped side of the Gua Sha to massage your jawline. Work from your chin towards your ears and follow the shape of your jaw.
Step 6: With the long, curved side of the Gua Sha you massage across your cheekbones. Do this from your nose towards your ear, following the bone. You can massage the rest of your cheek in the same direction.
Step 7: Time to work away those puffy eyes! Use the short, convex side of the Gua Sha to massage the skin under your eyes. Here too, work from the inside outwards.
Step 8: Last but not least: time for your forehead and temples! For this you use the long, straight side of the Gua Sha, moving upwards from your eyebrow.
When using a Gua Sha, always make sure you place the stone on your skin at a 45-degree angle. If you use the stone perpendicular to the skin, the effect is too harsh. Never press the stone too hard onto your skin! It is normal for your skin to turn red after using the Gua Sha, but the massage should not be painful.
