Product information Gua Sha stone

Instructions

Before you massage your face with the Gua Sha, it is wise to activate your lymph nodes so that blood circulation gets started. You do this by moving the Gua Sha stone from your collarbones to your jaw. Repeat this step 10 times and then it's time to really start!

Step 1: The Gua Sha glides more easily over your skin when you use a fine oil or serum.

Step 2: Use the V-shaped side of the Gua Sha to massage your jawline. Work from your chin towards your ears, following the shape of your jaw.

Step 3 & 4: Massage over your cheekbones with the long, curved side of the Gua Sha. You do this from your nose towards your ear, following the bone. You can massage the rest of your cheek in the same direction.

Step 5: Time to get rid of your bags! Use the short, convex side of the Gua Sha to massage the skin under your eyes. Also work from the inside out.

Step 6: Last but not least: time for your forehead and temples! For this you use the long, straight side of the Gua Sha.

When using a Gua Sha, always make sure that you place the stone on your skin at a 45 degree angle. If you use the stone perpendicularly, the action is too hard. Never press the stone too hard on your skin! It is normal for your skin to turn red after using the Gua Sha, but the massage should not be painful.

Frequently Asked Questions about Gua Sha

What does gua sha massage do for your skin?

The massage feels relaxing, can temporarily stimulate blood circulation, and makes the skin instantly look fresher. Gua sha is a beauty ritual, not a treatment: do not expect lasting changes to wrinkles or contours, but rather skin that feels calmer and fresher after the massage.

How often do you use a gua sha stone?

It can be used daily, in the morning or evening, for a few minutes at a time. Consistency works better than occasional long massages. Slight redness immediately after the massage is normal and will quickly disappear; it should never cause pain.

What oil or serum do you use for a gua sha massage?

Never use gua sha on dry skin. A few drops of facial serum are enough to make the stone glide smoothly. Choose the serum that suits your skin: calming (Cucumber), nourishing (Avocado) or strengthening (Pumpkin). This way, you combine the massage directly with your skincare routine.

Is gua sha massage suitable for sensitive skin?

Yes, as long as you use gentle pressure. Avoid areas with active inflammation, acne, or eczema, and do not use the stone on damaged skin. If you are unsure due to a skin condition, consult your GP or skin therapist first.

What does a gua sha stone do for your face?

The Gua Sha stone is a facial massage tool, rooted in an ancient Chinese ritual. You use the gua sha tool after cleansing, along with a serum or oil, to massage your face and neck in eight steps. The massage relaxes facial muscles, can temporarily stimulate blood circulation, and makes the skin look instantly fresher.

How to use the gua sha stone

Start with clean skin and apply a few drops of facial serum so that the stone glides smoothly instead of tugging at the skin. Choose the serum that suits your skin: calming (Cucumber), nourishing (Avocado) or strengthening (Pumpkin). Hold the stone at a 45-degree angle and always work from the inside out: jawline, cheekbones, under the eyes, and finally the forehead. A few minutes a day is enough, in the morning or in the evening. Watch the video above to see how to include your neck and décolleté as well.

Why black obsidian (volcanic glass)?

Most gua sha tools are made of jade or rose quartz. This stone is made of black obsidian, a natural lava glass with a smooth, cool texture that glides pleasantly over the skin. Obsidian is fragile, so do not drop the stone. After use, clean it with lukewarm water and let it dry thoroughly.
